Delete it yourself, in the app

You do not need to email anyone or wait for us. Deleting your account takes about ten seconds and needs nobody's permission but yours.

1. Open Das Material and make sure you're signed in.
2. Go to the You tab.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm. The app asks once, because this cannot be undone.

You are signed out immediately, because the account no longer exists.

What gets deleted

Everything. Specifically:

• Every vehicle you saved — make, model, variant, colour, year, body type
• Every date attached to them — insurance and PUC expiry dates
• Any reminders scheduled from those dates
• Your usage-analytics record and its events (PostHog)
• Your account itself, including your email address and your name

Your data is erased first, then the account record — so nothing is left stranded behind a login that no longer exists.

It is immediate and irreversible.We keep no backup copy of your vehicles. We do not "soft delete" or deactivate your login while quietly retaining your email. There is no grace period during which we could restore it. When it's gone, it's gone — if you want your data back afterwards, you will have to type it in again.

We retain nothing after deletion. We take no payments and hold no financial records, so there is no legal or accounting reason to keep any of it.

Can't get into the app?

Lost phone, forgotten password, app won't open — email us from the address you signed up with and ask for your account to be deleted.

This opens your email app with a pre-filled message. We delete the account and confirm by reply, normally within 7 days. We only need you to write from the registered address — we won't ask for a reason, and we won't try to talk you out of it.

Uninstalling is not deleting

Removing the app from your phone stops the reminders, but your account and vehicles stay on our server until you delete the account. If you want the data gone, use You → Delete account before you uninstall — or email us using the fallback above.
